Frequently Asked Questions

What happens at the first meeting?

The first meeting is an information sharing session where I will ask you some background questions. We will also talk about what you need from counselling and answer any questions you may have.

What happens during a session?

Sessions are there to provide you with a safe, supportive space in which we explore the difficulties you may be facing. My approach is holistic and sensitive to your goals.

How much do you charge?

Sessions are £55.00 for a 50 minute session. Concessions are available for counselling students and those on low incomes.

Is this a confidential service?

Yes, everything you discuss is completely confidential with the exception of safeguarding issues or if required by law. I am also required to have regular supervision which is carried out on a confidential basis using your first name only.

How regular are the sessions and how many do I need?

Appointments are usually weekly and are for 50 minutes. We will decide together how many sessions you might need. I offer short term and longer term therapy.

How do I make an appointment ?

If you decide to proceed after the free initial 30 minute session, you can contact me by email or telephone.

What days do you work?

I am available Wednesday and Friday 6pm to 9pm. I also offer appointments on Saturdays 9am to 12 noon.
